Are You Worried About Oily Hair?

There are many factors that can make your hair oily. We can devide them into two categories: hormones changes and habits. It is important to fully evaluate and understand your habits so you can fix them properly. 1). Using Conditioner

Do not apply conditioner all over as it can totally weigh your hair down, resulting oily roots. Instead, apply conditioner just from mid-shafts to the ends. Use a balancing shampoo  for greasy hair which eliminates oil from your hair and moisturizes it to make it soft and shiny. A balancing conditioner can also be used for oily hair as it provides nourishment to the hair shaft and improves the hair health by moisturizing hair strands.

2). Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is always an obvious choice to tackle oily hair as it will not only suck up oil from the roots to make them look less oily, but it will also give you more time between washes, thus making your hair less oily in the longer run too.

3). Wash Less

Don’t wash your hair daily. Although it sounds counter-nutritive, but if you try to keep your scalp away from oil, washing it every day, it will more forcefully try to replace those oils. This makes hair greasier in the shorter term than necessary. So, if you are washing your hair every day, try taking it down to every other day. It is advisable to wash every three-four days because washing every day will strip too much oil, sending production into overdrive.

4). Brushing Balance

It is always good to brush hair properly for equal distribution of natural oils otherwise they would just build up on the scalp. On the other hand, over-brushing can stimulate oil production so make sure you keep a healthy balance for your hair.

5). Choose Products Wisely

Use of too many mousses and gels can cause buildup for oil on your scalp so try to avoid products that can make oily-prone hair look greasier. Create a balance in use of styling products in order to avoid an oily look.

6). Try Not To Touch

Your fingertips and your face both produces oil that can easily transfer to your hair so try not to touch your hair every now and then. Also avoid making styles that allows your hair too much to touch your face.

7). Drink Lots Of Water

Water is helpful in flushing out toxins from your body. Drink plenty of water to obtain a healthy scalp and hair.
